Sister Wives’ Kody Brown ‘Never Made Up’ With Estranged Son Garrison Before His Tragic Death

Kody Brown was sadly never able to make amends with his son before his tragic passing.

On Tuesday, the Sister Wives patriarch and his wife Janelle revealed on Instagram that their 25-year-old son Robbert Garrison Brown had sadly passed away. We later learned his death was an apparent suicide. And to make matters even more heartbreaking, it sounds like Kody and Garrison weren’t able to patch up their differences beforehand.

On Wednesday, an insider told The US Sun:

“They were still estranged and sadly, never made up before Garrison died. I don’t think they had even spoken since Covid times. I know for a fact there was no buddy/buddy hangout or friendship. Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time they saw each other. From what I know, the last time they really had an interaction was when they met up and had a big argument on camera.”

Followers of the TLC show may remember tensions started to rise between the father and son, as well as Garrison’s brother Gabriel, in 2020 when Kody and his wife Robyn laid down some strict Covid guidelines. A source told the outlet:

“Kody pushed his family away for a very long time. These two boys have been the forefront of the pain.”

Such sad news. As for how momma Janelle is holding up, the insider dished:

“She’s not processed [it] clearly. She doesn’t even know which end’s up. She’s very angry right now … She’s not usually a crier or an emotional person. It takes a lot to get her to break. So I think right now she’s saying, ‘What the heck happened? What did I do wrong?”

Poor woman. The whole family is said to be “extremely broken and tortured.”

Gabriel reportedly found Garrison in his Flagstaff, Arizona home on Tuesday morning. When cops arrived, they discovered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. So awful to imagine.

Our hearts continue to be with the family. Rest in peace.
