We’re almost a month into the MLB season, and the Dodgers and Braves still remain favorites to win the World Series.
At the very top of the board are Los Angeles Dodgers at +320.
Los Angeles had a busy offseason. In addition to signing reigning American league MVP Shohei Ohtani, LAD traded for right-hander Tyler Glasnow and signed Japanese ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
These pieces have been pivotal to Los Angeles’ hot start and LAD’s current record is 13-11.
Let’s take a look at every team’s updated 2024 World Series odds at FanDuel.

The Dodgers remain the favorite to win it all even though they’ve lost seven of their last ten.
However, they have dropped in FOX Sports MLB analyst Ben Verlander’s most recent power rankings.
“Their rotation hasn’t been great outside of Tyler Glasnow, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto and James Paxton mixing in starts both good and bad,” Verlander wrote. “Freddie Freeman has been underwhelming by his standards (.287/.406/.391 with one homer), although April is historically his worst month.
“Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts have continued to kill at the plate.”
Who is the new No. 1 team in MLB Power Rankings: Dodgers, Yankees or Braves?
Meanwhile, reigning MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. and the Atlanta Braves are just behind the Dodgers at +480 to win the World Series.
But in Ben’s power rankings, they’ve moved into the top spot.
“The Braves are back at No. 1 after reeling off a six-game winning streak in the wake of the Spencer Strider news. There are still some questions about their starting pitching, but Reynaldo López hasn’t allowed a run in his past two starts.
“Atlanta’s lineup is dominant again, with Marcell Ozuna leading the majors in home runs (9) and RBIs (27), slugging (.713) and OPS (1.117). Oh, and he’s batting .338.”

A team that had high expectations but started the season slow is Houston.
The Astros have seen their odds of winning the title move to +950 from +700 after a 6-11 start to the season that gives them the second-worst record in the American League.
Houston was swept recently by the Kansas City Royals, and its pitching has struggled, with a team ERA of 5.32, ranked 29th in the league.

Taking a look at the recent past, an early long-shot wager can pay off nicely when it comes to MLB title futures — the eventual champion Rangers were +4500 entering last season.
The Diamondbacks, which fell three wins short of the title, were +12500 entering last season.
Including the Rangers, six of the past seven champions have had preseason odds of +1000 or longer (the 2020 Dodgers at +385 are the exception).
Preseason long-shot bettors had their golden era from 2010-15 when six teams with +2000 odds or longer hoisted the trophy.
2015: Royals (+3300)
2014: Giants (+2500)
2013: Red Sox (+2800)
2012: Giants (+2000)
2011: Cardinals (+2500)
2010: Giants (+2500)
The teams with the shortest preseason odds to win it all since 1985 were the Yankees in 1999 (+200) and 2000 (+250).
The longest shots to win the Fall Classic since 1985 were the 1991 Twins (+8000), 2003 Marlins (+7500), 1987 Twins (+5000) and 2002 Angels (+4000).
