The New Jersey Devils have announced they will wear the logo of RWJBarnabas Health, the “largest and most comprehensive academic health care system in the state of New Jersey,” on the front of their home sweaters beginning with their game last night against the New York Rangers.
“We are beyond excited to extend our long-standing partnership with the largest academic health care system in New Jersey, RWJBarnabas Health, and together unveil the first-ever jersey patch partner for the New Jersey Devils,” Jake Reynolds, President of the New Jersey Devils said in the press release. “Together with RWJBarnabas Health, we will continue to play an instrumental role in supporting youth hockey programs, fulfill our shared vision of building healthier communities throughout New Jersey and help support the highest level of care for our athletes.”
The patch shows the RWJBarnabas logo, a wordmark, in red and blue. The logo was not recoloured to match the Devils’ red-and-black colour scheme better. The team says this is a multi-year agreement.

The black home helmets will continue to feature the logo of Prudential. The Devils currently do not wear an advertisement on their road sweaters but they do wear a logo on their road white helmets — as part of their Devils Buy Black Program, “a marketing program designed to help New Jersey-based Black-owned businesses gain exposure among its key customer base so they can grow and succeed.” The 2023-24 season is the fourth year in which the Devils have offered this program; this season, the club is wearing the logo of PeduL, a diversity recruiting marketplace.
