Irish Men’s National Football Team Unveil New Home Kits Made by Castore – SportsLogos.Net News

The Irish men’s national football team is hoping to be the source of even more national pride in new home kits that were unveiled this week.

The Football Association of Ireland and manufacturer Castore launched the new men’s home kit on Wednesday, March 20, which “pays homage to the enormous pride for the country’s international team that has permeated the nation over many years.”

The shirt is predominantly green, with an embossed “heritage shield knot print symbolic of protection, kinship, and unity” all over the front, back and sleeves.

White piping runs from the collar to the shoulder seams on the front of the shirt. The front of the crew neck collar is green while the back is white with orange piping.

Like the previous Castore kits released just last year, these new home kits feature the recently updated Irish national team crest and “ÉIRE” printed on the back collar.

Wednesday’s announcement also included a new look for Ireland’s goalkeepers. Their primary kit will be bright blue with a pattern of tonal horizontal lines across the front.

Also of note in Wednesday’s announcement is the extension of telecommunications company Sky’s sponsorship to the men’s team. Sky had previously been a standalone primary partner of the Irish women’s national team. As a result, the Sky logo will appear on both men’s and women’s retail kits going forward.

The Irish women will continue to wear the home kit unveiled in 2023 this year. They’ll get a new home kit in early 2025 to coincide with the next UEFA Women’s European Championship, to be held in Switzerland.

The Irish men will debut their new home kits in a friendly against Belgium on Saturday, March 23.
